Finding a cat behaviorist and how our consultation process works.
Mieshelle is a scholarly-cited behavior author who’s most recent study of animal behavior was at Harvard University and our veterinarian, Dr. James Shultz, specializes in cat behavior. We recommend when choosing a cat behaviorist — compare formal study in animal behavior. Most cat behaviorists have none. Anyone can become “certified” in cat behavior, but what you will rarely find is one that has formal education is animal behavior. See the clinic’s 165 testimonials.
Now that you’ve located a cat behaviorist, there are four steps for your African wildcat descendant from the moment you read this page to the time, a few days or weeks from now, when you simply will not be able to believe the change in your cat.
Step 1: Raise Your Hand (or Paw)
If you’re ready to schedule your phone or video Skype consultation with our cat behaviorist, Mieshelle Nagelschneider C.A.T. Counselor, click the Book a Consultation button here:
Or, by calling the clinic at 1-503-267-8888. We guarantee a reservation within 2 – 4 business days if we choose your appointment time. If you request a specific appointment time, we can usually schedule you within 7 days. Appointment times are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific time/12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Payment is due at time of scheduling and this can be done online or by calling the clinic.
Step 2: Complete the Feline Behavior Questionnaire
You will have access to the feline behavior questionnaire. Here’s where the fun starts — where you get to talk about your kitties, non-stop, to the most interested person in the world: Mieshelle Nagelschneider. You will need to complete this form and email it to us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Videos and still photography can be a vital component in evaluating your cat’s behavior issue(s). Once you schedule your consultation, you will receive information in your behavior packet email about what kind of video or photos we may need.
Step 3: Get Your Cat Behavior Solution
You will be contacted by the clinic for your first of two behavior consultations (each lasting about one hour for the two-hour plan) and Mieshelle will ask you even more questions and then give you a specific, customized behavior program for solving your cat’s behavior issue(s) during your consultation. This is our comprehensive C.A.T. Plan™ that will provide you with the most up-to-date techniques and knowledge to change your cat’s behavior. See our Rave Reviews about thousands of cats we’ve helped over the years. You will also receive a diet analysis and recommendations for your cat(s).
Step 4: Experience the Joy of Success: Happier You — Happier Cats!
Follow our instructions. That’s important. We have the success rate we do because cat owners commit to following the easy-to-follow steps we set out for them. Just as important, you are our eyes and ears sending in email update reports, as you tell us how your cat is responding.
Soon you’ll be declaring success!
Our guarantee to you: If after reviewing your completed behavior history questionnaire we do not think a consultation with the clinic would suitable, we will not hold the consultation and send you a refund.
